Killarney Beach snorkel therapy
Having gone to emergency nov 10, (numb backside, limping with right foot, numb calf and right foot...)
had an MRI which discovered a spinal cancer.... from brain to spine. lumps clearly visible.
They immediately got me on 2 set of fairly new (2012) pills which are know for rapid shrinking of these types of melanoma.
after a 5 days of not much change, it kicked in and numbness slowly decreased . still could not tiptoe on right foot... which means even walking means a kind of limp. stairs require a trek pole or railing.
Went back to halls, lived out of van in small wild camp on my own under stars (instead of in house). And took some DMT (smoking a psychedelic drug)... which relaxed strong anxiety ( " I am going towards full paralysis). Saw stars very clearly, lots of shooting stars. Prayed a lot too...
This was a lot more scary than the 2 other cancers (chin and leg; brain tumor upper left). Because of the feeling of loosing limb power.
Followed my instinct and went to Killarney beach (1,5 hr drive) to camp in small camp next to beach. Bought up some snorkeling gear (mask, flippers, booties) And went in ... was extremely relaxing to hover above the seaweed, see starfish, some fish.
At first was tough even to walk 200m on beach, then got better... eat lots of protein , slept, snorkel, repeat.... for days. Water was cold, got more layers so I could stay in up to 1 hr.
later went to portland, some very good snorkeling of Nat park points . And a big beach with a seal colony..... snorkeled near a seal.
I got more and more able to walk normally ... which was great.
